When we decided to move forward with purchasing a downtown condominium, I knew that I needed help and lots of it. This was our opportunity to start fresh and create a new environment for ourselves. Melissa was referred to me by a friend and I can say she is one of the best things that has happened to us!! She took an overwhelming task for me and made it relatively painless. I have worked with designers before and always ended up with a beautiful finished product that simply was their style NOT ours. Melissa listened carefully and took the time to learn what was appealing to us. The result is an amazing downtown condo that is exactly what we wanted! Since the completion of that project, Melissa has worked with us on a vacation family home and office building. We certainly intend to work with her on future projects!

The designer sent examples of her work which were wonderful. She responded promptly to my emails and was able to accomplish just what we discussed in the amount of time allotted and within my budget. She came up with great ideas which we are implementing and asked to see the finished project. I intend to use this design firm for future projects!

I thought I was asking for the impossible, but Melissa encouraged me to ask anyway. I wanted to be surrounded by colors that spoke to me softly and calmed my mood, colors that invited me into each room and made me feel cuddled once there. I wanted different colors, something more daring than using the same neutral color throughout the house; but I didn’t want to notice the transition as I walked from one room to the next. I wanted the room color to help the furniture “blend in” with the surroundings and become a part of the room, rather than simply ‘sitting’ in the room. And I wanted colors that were not masculine or feminine but would be pleasing to both men and women. Melissa weaved her magic and gave me all these things--and more! Through taking time to understand me and how I lived, Melissa was able to unveil my own distinct style. She helped me reach all my goals in creating a home where I truly feel ‘at home;’ with her guidance, I’ve been able to understand and recognize this style of mine that I never knew I had. What was once a daunting task has become sheer pleasure and excitement, and I continue to decorate my world, thanks to Melissa.

Melissa performed miracles; not only did she do exactly what we asked, she also thought of things we had not even considered, fit them into the budget and produced a kitchen that we are very proud of. We had already spent a good deal of time and money on our home but it just ever looked the way we wanted it to look. Enter Melissa. We now have a decor which pleases us and evokes raves from all of our guests. Melissa is talented and creative and has a space and color memory which rivals any I've experienced in artists and decorators. She listens; she sees and hears the client's interests and preferences. And, very importantly, she stays within the budget and has economical as well as higher priced sources. Obviously, we have been pleased with Melissa and can speak of her without reservation.

Melissa's attention to detail really made my apartment a completely new and refreshing living space, but made sure to preserve the items and themes I like in order to make it a comforting and warm environment. After the project was completed, on several occasions I found myself just sitting back and enjoying the atmosphere and absorbing the new warmth and energy she brought to my living room, dining room, and kitchen. Her hard work and continued diligence to the project made it an extreme success despite constraints such as tight deadlines and a limited budget.
